Plano, Texas January 12,2010 Select acting students from drama programs throughout the metroplex and beyond have spent the last 2 months preparing for the Art Centre Theatre's Season opener. The production, Rumors, will open January 22 and run through February 6 at the Art Centre Theatre 1028 15th Place, Plano, Texas 75074. The play opens in a large, tastefully appointed townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack of Farce. Gathering for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding in the other room and his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer, Ken and wife Chris must get "the story" straight before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity.

"This is my favorite role yet," Katherine Ingram (Booker T Washington), "I am always the quirky girl, but this time I get to be normal … well almost normal. Can Chris be called normal?"

"The students have worked very hard to tackle a very mature and comedically difficult play," Jamey Jamison, director, "this material is hard for even adults, but their timing and unity is better than those most local theatres."

"We at the Art Centre Theatre have tried to create an environment where students, adults and just normal people can come and work along-side seasoned professionals and captains in the industry, we want people to learn about this thing we call theatre and why we love it so much." – Angela Montgomery Vice-President Teatro Delle Muse.

"This type of play is one that most schools do not have the time or talent to mount. Being a community theatre we have the unique opportunity to pull the best and the brightest kids from all over the metroplex and stir them together in one pot at the same time, it is thrilling." – Jamey Jamison President Teatro Delle Muse

About the Art Centre Theatre & Teatro Delle Muse:
Founded in 1995 by Sara Henderson, Teatro Delle Muse strives to be an all inclusive community theatre, catering to the needs and wishes of the community. We strive to adhere to the industry standard of excellence while still allowing adults and children to find their niche in an art form that can seem intimidating to most and daunting to others. We want people, all people, to have a place to come play. We offer classes in acting, drama, stage combat, and voice for ages 4-99. Come play!
