Maria Rodriguez is a high school English teacher and enjoys working with a variety of people. She has been involved in music for over 30 years. While attending Booker T Washington HS for the Performing and Visual Arts, she had the privilege of performing with her school choir at Carnegie Hall in New York. After graduation, she joined and performed with the Metropolitan Winds for 10 years. While working with the Metropolitan Winds, she performed at the Morton H Meyerson Symphony Center and Dallas Fair Park for their Summer Band Stand. UT Dallas is where she was introduced to Musical Theater, and has followed her passions for musical theater ever since. She has been working with ACT for 10 years as an actor, singer and director. Her experience has allotted her the opportunity to pursue these passions. A teacher at heart, Maria Rodriguez is dedicated to helping people grow at any level of talent they have.
