Story Drama: Mommy & Me (Ages 3–6)
Course Description
Every week brings a brand-new adventure! Children and their caregivers step inside a beloved storybook where characters come to life through music, movement, dramatic play, dance, puppetry, imaginative exploration, sensory activities, crafts, and interactive storytelling.
From stomping through dinosaur jungles and floating with butterflies to sailing pirate ships and marching alongside brave little firefighters, every class becomes a fully immersive theatrical experience. There are no spectators—everyone becomes part of the story.
Our high-energy instructors lead children through exciting adventures filled with songs, movement games, dramatic role play, rhythm activities, imaginative exploration, tactile discovery, and joyful interaction. Classes move quickly between engaging activities to match young children's developmental attention spans while providing opportunities for success, participation, and positive reinforcement.
Every class is designed to inspire laughter, confidence, creativity, and meaningful caregiver-child interaction in a safe, encouraging, and inclusive environment.

Educational Philosophy
At Art Centre Theatre, we believe that a child's first experience with the performing arts should be filled with imagination, laughter, movement, discovery, and meaningful connection with the trusted adults in their lives. Story Drama: Mommy & Me is designed as an interactive early childhood enrichment experience where caregivers and children actively learn, create, and play together through dramatic storytelling.
Rooted in research-based early childhood education practices, Story Drama combines dramatic play, music, movement, sensory exploration, language development, and social-emotional learning into one joyful, engaging experience. Every class transforms a favorite children's story into a living adventure where children don't simply listen to a book—they become part of it.
Young children learn best through play, repetition, imitation, and hands-on exploration. Our curriculum encourages children to sing, dance, pretend, build, explore textures, solve simple problems, and engage all of their senses while developing confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Caregivers become active learning partners, strengthening attachment, modeling participation, and celebrating each child's discoveries.
Rather than emphasizing performance, our focus is on process-based learning. Every activity is intentionally designed to support cognitive, physical, emotional, social, and creative development while nurturing each child's natural imagination and sense of wonder.

Caregiver Participation
Caregivers are essential partners in every class. By singing, dancing, reading, creating, and pretending alongside their children, they model curiosity, enthusiasm, language, and positive social interaction. Shared artistic experiences strengthen family bonds while giving caregivers practical ideas for extending learning through play at home.
