This is the first letter my father sent to me after the night he ran off.

I can not reveal to you why these turn of events have transpired into our lives.

You are not yet ready for the weight of the facts to surface on your mind. I am sorry.

I had to barge out of the diner on New Years Day,

I had no choice.

I intend to celebrate the New Years right with you when I come out of hiding.

Rest assured, my son, you will see me soon. I just ask you not tell anyone you read my letters. I will communicate you with my letters. Remain clue-less. Do not bring any attention to yourself until I say so. I love you.
